PGE Group conducts operations across a broad spectrum – from raw material extraction to energy generation, distribution, and sales – which requires a diverse employment structure across the country. The geographical location and specific nature of tasks determine the availability of local workforce and often the prevailing gender of applicants. Most employees are men, which is typical for the energy sector with a high proportion of technical and operational positions. The structure also reflects broader demographic trends – with a significant share of employees nearing retirement age – and efforts in line with modern developments to strengthen the role of women in the sector (evidenced by the increase in the number of women at the end of the reporting period compared to the average).
