[S2-2] Processes for engaging with value chain workers about impacts

As part of its operations, the PGE Group analyses and assesses its impact on workers within the value chain. Among the key areas identified by the Group are job security, workplace safety, ethics, and responsibility. Actions taken in these areas can contribute to improving working conditions among subcontractors and suppliers, while also supporting the creation of value for the Group itself.

In its cooperation with suppliers and subcontractors, activities are carried out both prior to engagement – under the responsibilities of the Procurement Department (before signing contracts) – and during ongoing cooperation, for example through OHS units.

Workers operating at PGE Group sites or involved in the Group’s investment projects are considered a key group of employees. Accordingly, the Group pays particular attention to both occupational safety and the security of their employment. If information is received indicating a possible breach of Group’s principles and standards – defined through contractual obligations – enterprises failing to comply may be required to implement corrective actions. Communication with value chain workers is conducted primarily through their direct employers. At the current stage, there are no standardised mechanisms for collecting feedback directly from individuals employed within the organisation’s value chain.
